I have over 15 years of experience as a Probation Officer, where I worked with vulnerable adults within the criminal justice system. A few years into my career, I decided to work with children in my spare time to educate them and prevent them from turning to a life of crime. In 2011, I began working with Impressionable Minds as a Facilitator in schools on a sessional basis. During these sessions, I provided information on topics such as substance misuse, domestic abuse, and issues related to offending behavior.

I became accredited by the Home Office to facilitate a CBT program called Building Better Relationships for perpetrators of domestic abuse. This ignited my passion for working within the domestic abuse sector. I continued my training as a Non-Violent Resistance Practitioner and began freelancing for CAFCASS, Social Services, and Probation. I also continued to work in schools as a Facilitator.

My work expanded from primarily working with perpetrators to helping adult victims of abuse as a qualified SafeLives Service Manager. I managed a large team of IDVAs and volunteers. During this time, I qualified as a Domestic Abuse Youth (DAY) Program Facilitator and often educated children aged 13+ on domestic abuse and healthy relationships as part of my role. Because of my knowledge and experience, I became an expert in my field and trained other professionals, such as social workers, police, and housing professionals, on domestic abuse topics. Eventually, I went on to sit on the Home Office Domestic Homicide Review Panels as an Independent Domestic Violence Specialist.

My passion for working with vulnerable people and helping them make a positive change in their lives led me to form Prosocial Solutions. The aim of this organization is to help professionals and members of the public improve their relationships (in any capacity), effectively manage risk, and increase overall wellbeing.
